Library Media Program

Students at Carl Cozier visit the library each week for literature sharing, information skills instruction, and computer lessons to supplement classroom instruction. Our mission is to ensure that students are effective users of ideas and information.

We support students and staff in many ways:

  • Reading Advocacy
  • Teaching Information Skills
  • Managing Information Resources
  • Managing Technology

You can even put books on hold if you have a library card.

Library Hours

The library is open to Carl Cozier students and families between 8:45 am and 3:45 pm on any school day.

Volunteer Opportunities

Our library runs smoothly thanks to the help of many dedicated volunteers. Most of our library volunteers come in once each week for a couple of hours. Volunteers check books in and out, shelve books and keep the shelves in order. They prepare materials for bulletin boards and gather collections of books for special focus topics (seasonal or curriculum related). We provide a training session for new volunteers in the fall, and gladly do 'on-the-job' training. If you are interested in helping out in the library, contact Mariann Strachan at 676-6415.
